Hiking Around Austin, Tx - Various Hikes

We are leaving Austin in less than a week. I wanted to do a small compilation of pictures from town.

Lake Travis - Click on any picture to enlarge it

This park and trail is at Mansfield Dam on Lake Travis. Very near our RV park.

Climbing down into a grotto at Milton Reimers Ranch Park,

The Pedernales River. For you Non-Texans, It is pronounced Purr-deh-nall-less. Never mind that you are saying an R where is none. We have a historic town in Texas called Refugio. pronounced Ree-fer-Ree-oh. We have a habit of accepting  the migrating R's from Louisiana. Example I worked in La Fourche (Lah-fush) Parrish at a town called Port Fourchon (Foo-shawn).  Follow my drift on the Rs that drift?

Canyon Trail Lakeway

After the rain, I picked up 60+ golf balls on a hike. I did not get these or others because the water is deep here. Very clear

Watch your step girl!

One day, it was raining hard so we "hiked" around the new HEB store in Lakeway.

Another statue of Jack Hays after he was reincarnated as Stevie Ray Vaughn.
