Random Pictures - Sunday Morning - Buena Vista, Colorado

We went downtown early to soak up the local flavor. We arrived yesterday and drove through last night but were too tired to hang out.

I knew it was going to be an exciting morning right away when I saw they were having a 10:00 am Pack Burro Race.

The guy in the orange vest looked like he was 6' 5" and weighed 150"

To run in this race, you must be tough, tough, tough, tough, tough. Twelve miles, up and down hills with a burro.

The small ones are awful cute

Guy could play that double neck Gibson

We started coming to Colorado in the late 70's. My Father in law had bought a '56 ford pickup that belonged to the Shell Oil Company. IT was 4 wheel drive and three speed manual shift on the column. He would loan it to  us and Jeanette and I would take it into the mountains for days. We slept in the back at night in sleeping bags under the stars.

The road by our campground is pretty interesting (click on any picture to enlarge)
