Presque Isle CIty Park, Marquette, Michigan

Presque Isle is a  323 acre forested peninsula which juts into Lake Superior in the northern tip of Marquette City. The park has miles of hiking and biking trails, swimming holes, and some very unique scenery.

Although its a small park their is a large variety of rock

Clear Water

Several islands surround the peninsula

Basalt sloping down shows a lot of past stress.

Several kids were jumping into the lake from this point

Weathered rock containing chert. One billion years old.
