Empire State GOLD Mine - Grass Valley, Ca

Empire mine was one of the richest mines in California.  The state bought the grounds and did an excellent job at preserving the history.  This is the main offices of the mine.

The owner of the mine had a fine life.  This was referred to as "the Cottage".

And the grounds were not shabby either.  The miners were invited once a year to a picnic on the grounds, mighty nice of those owners...

Paranoia is defined as the thought that one of your workers might sneak out a little gold of refined product!

Not garage...stables

Part of the clubhouse where important visitors were entertained.

The cottage was one of many Summer homes.

A cottage needs decorations. Think I will get me a gold mine. Seems to be money in it.
